Inside Keyzo: An Interview with Louise

Louise Dougherty, one of our Customer Account Managers and Product Specialists, she has been with the company for almost a year. In this short space of time she has been able to enhance her skills, knowledge and experience and progress in her career with us as our Commercial Team has expanded.

We had a chat with Louise to gain some more insight into her current role within the fastest growing industry in the world.

What are your accountabilities as a customer account Manager at Keyzo?

Think of me as the bridge between our clients and our software—making sure they get the absolute best out of our solutions! My role is all about building strong relationships, guiding clients through onboarding, and keeping them updated on new features. I’m also the go-to person for business reviews and feedback, working closely with our tech teams to ensure clients’ needs are met. Ultimately, I make sure they’re happy, supported, and getting real value from our products.

Did you have any relevant experience prior to joining the company?

Absolutely! I’ve worked in account management and client relationships before, and I’ve always had a passion for tech-based solutions. Understanding customer needs, solving challenges, and helping businesses make the most of their software has been a common thread throughout my career. So stepping into this role at Keyzo felt like a natural next step!

How has Keyzo helped you develop your skills in the last year?

Keyzo has been a game-changer for my growth. I’ve deepened my knowledge of SaaS, sharpened my strategic thinking in account management, and had the chance to collaborate across different teams. I’ve also had external training opportunities and even joined a customer success community—which has been amazing for networking and learning best practices. Every day is a learning experience, and I love it!

What do you like most about your Customer Account Manager Role?

The variety! No two days are the same. One moment, I’m helping a client optimise their processes, and the next, I’m working with our internal teams on new features. I love seeing the direct impact our solutions have on businesses and being the person who helps make it all come together. Plus, building relationships and solving challenges keeps things exciting!

What is the most exciting project you’ve worked on since joining Keyzo?

Rolling out user acceptance testing for a new SaaS product was a huge highlight. It was incredible to see a product go from concept to reality, knowing that it would streamline processes for businesses. The best part? The collaboration across teams—everyone was all-in, working towards a common goal, and that energy was infectious!

What is your proudest moment since starting with the team?

From day one, I felt like I was making an impact, and that’s something I’m really proud of. Whether it’s contributing to client success, influencing product improvements, or just being part of a fantastic team that genuinely supports each other, it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s great to feel like you’re making a difference! I also recently completed an Internal Auditor course and had my team cheerlead me on to take my first exam in 10 years!

How did you get into your career?

Believe it or not, I started in retail! That’s where I developed a passion for delivering top-notch customer experiences and problem-solving. I wanted to take those skills into the B2B world, where I could work on more strategic, long-term solutions. Since I’ve always been interested in technology, stepping into account management in the software space felt like the perfect fit. It’s all about helping businesses get the most out of digital solutions, and I love it!

What advice would you give someone thinking of becoming a Customer Account Manager, or applying for one of our vacancies?

If you love working with people, solving problems, and making a real impact, this is the role for you! The key to success is building strong relationships, knowing your product inside out, and always looking for ways to add value.
